Winter's Gift

This painting was done for Lola-in-the-Black who won last month's discord raffle! The fun part about this image was there was no backstory which left a lot to the imagination. I was simply given the prompt of a girl reaching with some sort of snow effect swirling around her. I spent a good chunk of time experimenting with different snow and blizzard brushes. I took a lot of inspiration from the way Disney handled Elsa's ice magic in Frozen. Originally this image was very stark and cold and I felt it needed some vibrant colors. I love how the warm tones added so much life to the scene!
