Arcane Family Portrait

Took some time to finish up the Arcane style portrait of my family. This started out as a self portrait and then my wife, who is also a big fan of the show, wanted to have hers painted. After that both my daughters, who have not seen the show yet, wanted in on the action as well haha. Since Arcane is all about the relationship between sisters, I thought it fitting to paint my daughters as Jinx and Vi. In a lot of ways this image contains direct metaphors for my family. My wife is, and will always be, too good for me. As such she is represented as someone from the uppercity of Piltover while my character is depicted as being from the undercity of Zaun. And my oldest daughter, much like Jinx, has had struggles with being intellectually much more advanced for her age while still being a child emotionally. So I thought it fitting, even though she’s the oldest, to represent her as Jinx with my youngest being shown as Vi. I’ll tell you what though, I love my little family more than anything. They are my world. ⁠
