As a father of two beautiful daughters this story hit me really hard (in a good way)! My oldest daughter has been struggling a lot since the pandemic begun. It's been tough for all of us being cooped up at home and not as able to see friends, family, or loved ones. This story reminded me of something important that I think we often forget. And that is the immense power of kindness. Kindness is free and yet is one of the most pure and powerful forms of magic. We need constant reminders like that story to show us just how much impact a simple act of kindness can have. You don't have to look very far to find someone that could use a hug or a smile or a friend. ⁠⠀

This is a painting that tries to capture just a small fraction of the magic of that story. I wanted to give them something to add to all of the amazing memories they already have. Go make your own memories today doing something kind for someone else!⁠⠀
